Modern Art
Bennet Street

Modern Art is pleased to announce a new gallery at 8 Bennet Street, St James’s, London SW1, opening to the public on 14 November 2025 with an exhibition by Joseph Yaeger. The 4,700-square-foot space will serve as Modern Art’s principal gallery in London alongside its location in Paris. Modern Art’s current galleries on Helmet Row and Bury Street will close in early 2026.

“This is a necessary expansion for the gallery which also represents a strategic consolidation—allowing us to focus on a singular, coherent programme in London and for the entire team to work under one roof. Since founding the gallery in 1998, the representation of artists has always been the core of our work, through exhibitions but also in a committed office dealing with the production and agency of artworks and the institutional exhibitions and collaborations we manage on our artists’ behalf throughout the year.” – Stuart Shave

The inaugural exhibition at Bennet Street of American artist Joseph Yaeger will be his first with the gallery. The exhibition titled Polygrapher will include new paintings finished in his now signature process of watercolour on gessoed canvas. Forthcoming exhibitions at Bennet Street include the first solo exhibition of Hu Xiaoyuan in the UK, as well as Terry Winters’ second and Andrew Cranston’s third shows with the gallery. Upcoming exhibitions in Paris include solo shows by Walter Price, Mohammed Sami, Karla Black, and Richard Aldrich.
